Step 1. Make sure you are signed in to google, using a gmail account. Then navigate to https://analytics.google.com/
Step 2. Sign up for Google Analytics by clicking the button on the screen.
Step 3. Create a new account by filling in all the fields. Click "Get Tracking ID" and then accept the Terms of Service.
Step 4. Copy the Tracking ID
Step 5. Follow steps here to place the Tracking ID on your site
