Creating a Facebook pixel

Go to your Pixels tab in Events Manager. Click Create a Pixel.

Click Create in the box that appears to finish creating your pixel. Add the Facebook pixel to your website Once you've created your pixel, you're ready to put the Facebook pixel code on your website. For instructions on how to do so, choose the statement below that best describes how you make updates to your website's code:

Someone else makes changes to my website

If someone else updates the code in your website, follow these steps to email them instructions to set up the Facebook pixel on your site.

  1. Go to the Pixels tab in Events Manager.

  2. Click Set up Pixel.

  3. Click Email Instructions to a Developer.

  4. Enter the recipient’s email address.

  5. Click Send at the bottom of the page.

I update my website's code

  1. Go to the Pixels tab in Events Manager.

  2. Click Set up Pixel.

  3. Click Manually Install Pixel Code Yourself.

  4. Go to your website's code and find the header of your website.

  5. Copy the entire code and paste it in the header of your website. Paste the code at the bottom of the header section, just above the closing head tag.

  6. Optional: Click to toggle on Automatic Advanced Matching.

  7. Click Send Test Traffic after placing the code on your website to make sure your pixel's working properly. If your status says "Active", your base code has been installed correctly. This can take several minutes to update.

After you've created your pixel, you can follow the onscreen instructions to set up events on your website.

You can use a partner integration to set up your pixel without having to edit your website's code.

  1. Go to the Partner Integrations tab in Events Manager.

  2. Select your platform or tag manager.

  3. Click Connect Account.

  4. Follow the onscreen instructions to connect your pixel to your website.

If you don't see your platform, then check out one of the other 2 ways of setting up your pixel.

Event Setup

After you add the pixel base code to your website you can set up events to measure the actions you care about, like making a purchase. You can do this by manually installing the code or by using the point-and-click Event Setup Tool. Then, check to make sure that your pixel is working correctly using the Facebook Pixel Helper plugin or the Test Events tool in Events Manager.

Now that you have fully created your facebook pixel, you now need to implement the facebook pixel code to your lander page.
